Financial Stewardship

The Bible has a lot to say about money and possessions. In fact, did you know that Jesus spoke more on the topic of stewarding our financial and material resources than He did on any other subject? How we manage the resources that God entrusts to us is a very important part of our spiritual life. Church of the King provides several opportunities to be instructed from Scripture and equipped to be faithful stewards.

Stewardship Resources

Each year Pastor Steve presents a multi-part series on the biblical stewardship of our money and possessions. The most recent, The Stewardship Perspective - Answering Questions of Life and Money from God's Viewpoint, is a four-part series designed to answer frequently asked questions regarding stewardship.

Stewardship I

crown financial The Crown Biblical Financial Study for Small Groups (Stewardship I) is a ten-week in-depth study of what Scripture teaches about money and possessions. These groups meet in homes throughout the community, and cover a curriculum based on the scripturally sound principles taught by Larry Burkett and Howard Dayton, the founders Crown Financial Ministries. Testimonies from those having attended Crown small groups range from strengthened relationships and healed marriages to gaining freedom from debt. They are also becoming consistent savers, generous givers, and prudent consumers. Most importantly, people are entering into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ as they learn to apply His Word. Groups meet for two hours every week and meetings include Scripture memorization and interactive discussions.

There are times when you may need encouragement and advice from someone who understands what you are going through-someone who can offer a fresh perspective on your situation. Budget Coaches are available to you for those very reasons!

Budget Coaches

budget coaches Budget Coaches are individuals within the church who have demonstrated a level of character, giftedness, and competency in the area of stewardship. In addition to completing the Stewardship I course, they have been equipped with special training by Bob Katz to assist people with their financial situations. Budget Coaches will meet with married couples or individuals personally, to help them develop a personal budget, apply Biblical principles of stewardship, build a plan to get out of debt, and achieve spiritual and financial freedom. The meetings between budget coaches and candidates are completely confidential and there is no fee for this service.
