Young people have always been a vital part of Church of the King. Velocity, our youth group, is a powerful gathering of students discovering the extraordinary life they can have through Jesus. Junior High students meet each Wednesday at the Little Creek Campus
at 6:30pm, and at the Gulf Coast Campus
at 7PM. Junior High students have a number of opportunities for participation listed below:
Velocity Events
Weekly Services
Each Wednesday night Junior High students gather at the Little Creek and Gulf Coast Worship Centers. After each service, students enjoy a full cafe where they can hang out with their friends, staff and leaders.
Student-Led Small Groups
Student-led connect groups meet every week throughout the region and provide an opportunity for students to connect with other students.
School Clubs
Monthly and weekly Bible clubs meet during lunch at schools throughout the Gulf Coast region.
Devoted Student Conference
On February 17th & 18th students have the opportunity to participate in the overnight stay conference hosted by Healing Place Church in Baton Rouge. This conference is designed to ignite a generation with a love for God and a love for people. The cost including transportation, accomodations, and conference admission is $100.

Summer Events
Missions Trips
Velocity is teaming up with our REACH missions department to respond to the Great Commission to "go." Each summer, Velocity youth embark on several overseas trips.
Identity Junior High Camp
Identity Camp is a high-energy, jam-packed week of fun, competition, and encountering the Creator of the Universe for students entering 7th-8th grades.
